In his 2018 devotional to the youth, President Russell M. Nelson invited them to "take a break from fake" by abstaining from social and other media for an entire week. (This was even before "AI" deepfakes had taken the world by storm.) This is a clear fulfillment of the Feast of Unleavened Bread mandated anciently for all the people of Israel in all their generations as explained by the Savior Himself, and it would make an excellent part of our annual Easter season of celebrations.

Remember that the Feast of Unleavened Bread takes place during Holy Week and precedes the Feast of Firstfruits and Easter, which symbolizes the resurrection. Wouldn't you want to be free from worldly influences by the time you are resurrected?

We "take a break from fake" by detoxing from the leaven or doctrine of the Pharisees, which is not obedience, but hypocrisy. (The correct translation says that the Pharisees did not keep the law. They were hypocrites, not hyper-obedient to God's commandments).

Will you prayerfully participate in a seven day fast from social and other media that are harmful to you, that entrench hypocrisy or drive the Lord's Spirit away?
