Mary washed and wiped Jesus's feet on Wednesday. The following evening, Jesus washed His disciple's feet and taught them the true meaning of the Passover, that He was the sacrificial lamb to be offered to redeem His Father's children. After all He had done and taught to His disciples, He said to them:

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." -John 13:34

What kind of love is that? It is sacrificial love, the purest kind. Jesus taught, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13), and that we are His friends if we do as He has commanded us.

Ponder: Is there anything Jesus hasn't done or anything He did not sacrifice for us? How should we treat each other?

Activity: Share a meal with family or a guest. Take the opportunity to teach one another and express your sincere love for each other and commitment to help each other through difficulty.

Study the accounts of the Savior's suffering in Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-56, Mark 14:32-52, Luke 22:39-53, and John 18:1-12). Ponder why in the accounts of Matthew, Mark, and John there is no text describing Jesus's suffering in Gethsemane. Think how you might struggle to find words holy enough or adequate to express what the Savior has done for us.

Do you remember to include sincere expressions of "Thy will be done" in your prayers, as Jesus did?
Are you willing to do all that the Father asks you to do?
